An inexperienced roster and a brutal schedule made for a rough start to the season for the Madison boys' lacrosse team. But the Dodgers perservered, and have emerged a better unit. Madison pulled away from West Essex, 15-8, to capture its third straight win. The Dodgers scored eight consecutive goals after trailing, 4-3, in the second quarter. Mike Clemente had a huge game for the Dodgers, scoring six goals and adding three assists. Billy Battaglia scored five times and assisted on one goal. Mike Drumm led West Essex with three goals. Madison, which opened the season with eight straight defeats, hopes to continue its momentum heading into the upcoming Morris County boys' lacrosse tournament.
